Tanca Manna
In the past, Tanca Manna was an important granite extraction center. The stone extracted here was highly appreciated for its quality and was used to build important monuments throughout Sardinia. Today, it is still possible to visit some of the granite quarries in the surrounding area. Moreover, during the Nuragic period, the area of Tanca Manna was populated by several tribes who built numerous “Tombe dei Giganti” (Giants’ Tombs) and “Nuraghi” which can still be admired.
